MACHINE LEARNING APPLICATIONS IN MARKET FINANCE – Theory and feedback
24 septembre 2020

The purpose of artificial Intelligence is to make computers perform tasks requiring human intelligence.
One of its many fields of study is Machine Learning, which uses statistical approaches to teach the machine – from a large number of data – models allowing improving their own performances on the tasks’ achievements – without being explicitly programmed to carry out the tasks! Data Science includes the design, analysis, development and implementation of the Machine Learning methods.
Other trades are very much related to the Data Science, such as Data Engineering, its goal being the storage of quality and relevant data in a Big Data-oriented environment, and Data Visualisation, which allows exposing results in dashboards.
Throughout the document, I will provide details regarding 6 families of Machine Learning algorithms that could be used in market finance.
