We are looking for an Application Support Specialist to work with one of our clients based in Montreal. This is a central role in which you will provide technical and functional support for applications used by New York-based traders.
The position involves working closely with traders, sales teams, business analysts and developers to deliver and support solutions for the trading & sales desk in a DevOps environment.
Your MISSIONS
Functional and Technical Support
- You will provide functional support for the Front, Middle and Back Office departments on several types of fixed income assets (Rates, Cash loans, Exotics...) and functions (booking, princing, regulatory, reporting, reconciliation...).
- You will manage software releases, configuration and support of all production system components and infrastructure.
- You will support, develop and maintain software applications, building systems and associated processes, and carry out frequent production releases.
- You'll develop applications to automate manual operational tasks, as well as real-time monitoring tools and customized reports.
Crisis and Incident Management
- You will be responsible for communication with end users and management.
- You'll be communicating with users about application outages and upcoming events such as production releases, projects, etc.
Documentation
- You will provide functional and technical expertise to produce and promote sustainable, high-quality solutions, including documenting system requirements and writing the support run book.
- You will improve existing support processes by strengthening automation, monitoring and documentation.
Collaboration
- You'll be working with development/support teams in Bangalore, New York, Montreal, Paris and London.
- You will work in partnership with the development teams (NY/Paris) on analysis and development within the DevOps model, as well as on managing production releases.
Your PROFILE
Bac +3 in computer science or equivalent
Your SKILLS
- 2 to 3 years' experience in a developer/support role
- Good communication skills and customer focus
- Ability to work in a team
- Programming skills in a scripting language (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (Java/Python/C#)
- Working knowledge of SQL / Knowledge of client/server applications
Bonus skills :
- Fluency in English
- Experience in financial products (fixed income) / financial industry business processes / trading systems
- Knowledge of derivative product life cycles
- Experience with intermediate platforms (Tibco, RMDS, Ultra Messaging)
- Experience using standard DevOps tools (Jenkins, Jira, Git, TeamCity)

In 2015, I met the Quanteam teams at a student trade fair in Paris Dauphine and immediately got a good feeling.
