As part of our expansion in Singapore, we are looking for a Senior Application Support Analyst (Capital Market IT)

Our client has a Global IT (GIT) department that brings together all the teams responsible for the development and operation of the information systems and technology infrastructure.
With a presence in Europe & Africa, Asia-Pacific & the Middle East, and the Americas, this department has more than 3,500 employees.

The position is part of the Capital Markets IT (CMI) division, which manages the information systems supporting capital markets activities: front-office booking platforms, sales tools, risk management and regulatory reporting systems, financial product valuation, etc.

IT’s primary mission is “Run the Bank, which means ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of systems, working closely with business users, infrastructure engineers, and application managers.

CMI’s teams are based in Paris, London, New York, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, and Montreal. The position, based in Singapore, offers a strong international focus, working with distributed teams committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and architecture.

Your RESPONSIBILITIES

The role involves providing functional and technical support for eSales, assisting the Front Office Sales and Middle Office teams in using the bank’s sales workflow applications. These applications are critical because they are directly linked to revenue-generating activities and sales-trading interactions.

Application Monitoring & Supervision

  • Define and implement the necessary monitoring processes in collaboration with the development teams.
  • Manage user requests that require investigation and coordination with technical teams.
  • Oversee daily and monthly operations in collaboration with the project, infrastructure, and production teams.
  • Monitor and ensure the completion of daily batches; analyze and quickly resolve issues.
  • Monitor the application's KPIs and generate regular reports to improve operational efficiency.

Incident and Request Management

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 application support to users (Sales, Middle Office, Back Office).
  • Manage incidents until they are resolved, by mobilizing the necessary teams to minimize the impact on business operations.
  • Manage the backlog of user requests and ensure they are processed.
  • Properly document tickets with key information.

Problem Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure rigorous issue management: identifying root causes and conducting post-incident follow-up.
  • Work with the build teams to prioritize and resolve issues in a sustainable manner.
  • Help implement monitoring "as code".
  • Create and maintain a knowledge base in coordination with the developers.

Functional & Technical Support

  • Verify that the Volume Credit and Markup have been calculated correctly.
  • Manage the administration of platforms in collaboration with internal and external vendors.
  • Manage STP (Straight Through Processing) issues.
  • Work in a 24/7 “Follow the Sun” environment .
  • Follow all internal policies and procedures.
  • Manage customer relationships (internal and external).
  • Provide support to business and technical analysts.

Your PROFILE

This position requires a proactive mindset focused on incident prevention, safety, productivity, and the continuous improvement of service quality.

Participation in weekend and holiday support shifts.

Your SKILLS

Required experience and skills

  • Senior-level professional with at least 5 years of experience (ideally in finance or banking) in application support and/or development.
  • ITIL certification is a plus.
  • Interest in capital markets (FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equity).
  • A solid understanding of brokerage and clearing platforms (Tradeweb, Murex, DTCC, LCH/JSCC, etc.) and common financial applications (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.).
  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions (ITRS Geneos, Qokpit, Elastic, Splunk, Datadog, etc.).
  • Technical skills in SQL, Java, Python, and Unix/Windows commands.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux scripting.
  • Ability to manage SLAs and KPIs, client communication, escalations, risk analysis, and project execution.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and automation.
  • Additional skills are a plus: XML, PL/SQL, MQ, CFT, Control-M.
