Philippe BARBOZA , Consultant in the Transformation & Organization Practice - QUANTEAM
On a skills sponsorship mission for the "Protection Civile du Rhône" association

How and why did you choose this assignment?

I received two proposals via the Day One platform and the HR team in charge of "Rainbow Care", and I chose this one because it matched my personal affinities and prospecting skills. I'm very interested in issues relating to civic engagement and the organization of relief efforts in France. It was a concrete opportunity to contribute to a charitable cause, while at the same time strengthening my interpersonal and commercial skills.

Can you tell us more about the project and your role in it?

My mission was to help the "Protection Civile du Rhône" identify potential partners and sponsors. I researched, qualified and contacted companies based in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. This involved emails, contact forms and phone calls. I mainly worked independently, after a few handover points with the association's team, in particular Dimitri Froissard, their manager.

What has this mission brought you professionally and personally?

This mission enabled me to develop a better understanding of how a relief association works, its needs, funding methods and visibility issues. I also strengthened my ability to adapt my messages to different types of contacts, and to structure my prospecting approaches. I learned a lot from the fact that I had to start from a free framework to initiate a partnership strategy. Even if the short-term impact remains limited, I've been able to lay the foundations for a long-term approach to a cause that's close to my heart.

How did the Rainbow Care / DayOne teams support you?

The support was regular and of high quality. The Day One team remained available throughout the assignment, as did the HR team. The remote format really enabled me to organize my work flexibly and autonomously, which is a real advantage in this kind of project.

Would you recommend other Group employees to start a mission of their own?

Yes, I totally recommend this type of experience. It's an excellent opportunity to give meaning to your skills, expand your network, and develop soft skills in a context different from your usual assignments. It also enables us to take a step back and work on very concrete issues, sometimes far removed from our daily lives as consultants.
