Within the risk department of a major bank, an experienced consultant was called in to assess the current state of var and stress test scenarios. He then participated in the identification and creation of new stress test scenarios, and helped set up a stressed Var and a CVAR. The challenge was to fully understand the regulations and find a model adapted to the bank. A significant phase of model validation was carried out by backtesting with historical data.

In the context of an OFAC recommendation, a major French bank requested support in complying with OFAC requirements and migrating Swift flows managed in Asia to a single group platform managed in Europe. The assignment lasted 12 months, and enabled us to validate all the requirements on both the OFAC and local regulator sides (banking secrecy, RGDP, filtering, etc.).

Studies risks and hedging and presents results to the Quantitative Research team.

Mapping of operating systems and repositories, specification of extractions, standardization of data, establishment of the target conceptual data model, collection of requirements, definition and implementation of the target process for producing and certifying dashboards, in agile mode, production of dashboards for monitoring the bank's exposure to all variable rates and the migration of IBOR rates to RFRs (monthly rhythm) using Power BI following the 2008 financial crisis.

In the securities services unit of a leading European bank, reporting to the compliance department, a consultant manager was called in to help internal teams analyze these regulations at a time when they were being defined and clarified.
He was able to establish the principles of a central tool, in charge of declaring assets to the various tax authorities concerned for each subsidiary according to its country of establishment, and which could rapidly adapt to the different formats expected by these authorities, as well as to the scheduled implementation of various obligations similar to the US FATCA regulation.
He also supported the internal manager in steering the project and supervised the project management team, which was mainly made up of Quanteam consultants.
