Within the risk management department of a major bank, an experienced consultant was brought in to assess the current state of VAR and stress test scenarios. He then helped identify and develop new stress test scenarios and contributed to the implementation of a stressed VAR and a CVAR. The challenge was to thoroughly understand the regulations and find a model suited to the bank. A significant model validation phase was conducted through backtesting using historical data.

In response to an OFAC recommendation, a major French bank sought assistance to comply with OFAC requirements and migrate its Swift transactions managed in Asia to a single group-wide platform managed in Europe. The project lasted 12 months and successfully addressed all requirements from both OFAC and local regulators (bank secrecy, GDPR, filtering, etc.).

Project to monitor fines for non-compliance with regulations on the recording of business conversations. Project scope definition, establishment of governance, methodological implementation (gap analysis), cross-functional coordination (global CIB compliance, Group & CIB IT Department, Global Markets business unit, executive management), delivery of the gap analysis between the reference framework established by Compliance, business requirements, and the practices and tools implemented by IT (Group and Business Infrastructure)

Within the Global Market IT Department, the Summit Front Business Analysis team is responsible for contributing to the ongoing maintenance of the software suite and its applications for front-office needs. These applications are developed in C++. A QUANTEAM consultant carried out a business analysis project that included organizing and maintaining business processes, formalizing the requirements for enhancements to the Valuation/Pricing division, and translating these requirements for the development teams.

To strengthen the global payments control team for Market and Structured Finance activities, Quanteam was engaged by a bank to recruit a senior manager for the position of Operational Security Manager (Payments and Treasury). His role was to oversee the proper implementation of business controls (LOD1) and to implement the requirements resulting from LOD2 (Risk/Compliance) and LOD3 (General Inspection/CAC) reviews until the position was transferred from France to India.

As part of a Quantitative Pricing Engineering team at a major bank, a consultant analyzes and models the valuation of complex financial products. He works on model extensions and proposes models for implementation and testing. He seeks out efficient, optimal algorithms. He analyzes risks and hedging strategies and presents his findings to the Quantitative Research team.

Project to map operational systems and data repositories, define data extractions, standardize data, and establish the target conceptual data model, requirements gathering, definition and implementation of the target process for producing and certifying dashboards using an agile approach, production of dashboards to monitor the bank’s exposure to all variable rates and the migration from IBORs to RFRs (on a monthly basis) using Power BI following the 2008 financial crisis

Within the securities services division of a leading European bank, reporting to the compliance department, a consultant manager was brought in to assist the internal teams in analyzing these regulations as they were being defined and clarified.
He established the principles for a central tool designed to report assets to the relevant tax authorities for each subsidiary based on its country of establishment, a tool capable of quickly adapting to the various formats required by these authorities as well as to the planned implementation of various obligations similar to the U.S. FATCA regulations.
He also supported the internal project manager in steering the project and supervised the project management team, which consisted primarily of Quanteam consultants.
