
SETTING UP AN END-TO-END CASH MANAGEMENT OFFER
Background & challenges
The introduction of a new commercial offering to meet the expectations of corporate customers (representation of SDD overdue payments) has major implications in terms of counterparty risks, processing costs, monitoring of accounting processes and actual reporting. Against this backdrop, the marketing products team sought the support of the Finance and Accounting Department to manage the accounting aspects of the project.
The challenges of the project were as follows:
- Creation ex nihilo of a cash management offer for the representation of SDD overdue payments on behalf of major Corporates (mass debiting and representation rates for long overdue payments).
- Validation of the offer from a legal and operational point of view
- End-to-end validation of the accounting chain
- Validation of an architecture solution in line with the current road map
- Impact analysis
- Analysis of compliance with SEPA payment accounting projects
Solution provided
Our methodological approach was based on collaboration with :
- Marketing teams for product definition,
- Regulatory and legal aspects of counterparty and credit risk,
- IT Paris for data definition and event report development
- And Portuguese for the interpretation part via Elemental Movements
Our expertise in SEPA SDD-type payment methods, project management and knowledge of the customer's eco-system and methods enabled us to deliver a fully operational project.
The proposed system and the actions carried out were as follows:
- Setting up governance, budgets, resources and schedules
- Participation in governance (copil, coproj...)
- Definition of initial business needs and feasibility study
- Validation of Requirements Expressions (mainly workshop management)
- Formalization of functional and technical specifications
- Formalization of the recipe component (strategy, use cases, IST, IAT, UAT, PV)
- Formalization of the deployment strategy (access, planning, PV launch, After care roll back...)
- Formalizing and centralizing project documentation
- Presentation of work summary to top management.
