Background & Challenges
Management and coordination of an information system monitoring project for one of our key accounts. The project involved mapping an application ecosystem based on data flows between configuration items across the various layers of the information system architecture.
Solution
The proposed measures and actions taken were as follows:
- Needs assessment among production teams worldwide
- Comparative analysis of solutions that address the identified needs
- Meetings and negotiations with the top 5 APM and NPM vendors in the Gartner Magic Quadrant
- Presentation of the project to the IT department and approval of the budget
- Modeling the solution through UX design sessions with architects and experts from the production teams
- Update of policies related to the affected ITIL processes (Event Management and Configuration Management)
- Presentations on the various phases of the project to boards, executive committees, and risk and production teams worldwide
- Organizing strategic meetings on data governance in collaboration with CIOs
- Delivery of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to validate the solution’s implementation
